Mate that looks great bloody big though at 4 and a half foot! I also see that they have smaller (3 foot) boat in dual brushless electric. Seems like they have enough options there no matter what you go for in the end.
I use to have a nitro boat with twin outboards on but got sick of going for a swim. I was thinking of going for a gas boat seen as summer is just around the corner & i am only 5 mins from Lake MacQuarie.
I saw the twin brushless set up. But by the time i get the 11.1v lipo's to go with it i would be up for the same amount as the gas version. Also the lake changes quickly so i like the idea of a bigger boat.
I've seen one in the flesh at my local lhs and it looks pretty good. The guy who owns the lhs was right into gas boats before he opened his own store, so I would imagine that he knows his stuff and wouldn't stock crap. I have one of similar size and same type of hull with a 23cc Zenoah and it is heaps of fun and fast, good luck.
Have you had any real issues with your boat? I bet it would be a real head turner. I know when i had the twin outbards it use to attract a lot of attention.
I've only had it out a couple of times, it went really well, but I have to tune it properly ( more top end speed )and set up the prop so the nose is higher out of the water. I went to the boat ramp at Jindalee on the Brisbane River and managed to get a pretty good crowd which makes you feel pretty good especially all the kids oooing and arrring.
It's time to start saving. The minister for finance has just approved the purchase of it. I might try & sneak the upgraded engine though at the same time.http://www.venom-group.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=VEN-1827.
this should keep the sail boats happy. LOL.
