I am new to heli's, need a Sim, and I have decided to try out the Clearview Demo for starters to see how I like it. Can I use any JR-USB cable from any hobby shop to connect my DX6i up to the PC?
Or do I need a particular one?

The Clearview guys said I need....
USB SIMULATOR CORD FOR JR TX FSM002B
but where from?

you can try this ...

USB cable is not the only choice for JR/Spektrum based transmitter. Can use mono(stereo is fine) male audio cable to connect to the DX6i to the PC sound card (microphone) and running SmartPropoPlus(http://www.smartpropoplus.com/BlueAndGrey/default.asp) + PPJoy(http://www.geocities.com/deonvdw/Docs/PPJoyMain.htm).

Once you have everything configured, choose "PPJoy Virtual joystick" in ClearView controller setup dialog and you're ready to go!

--------------
Almost all of the generic USB- JR leads should work too ...

Thanks Peter, That sounds perfect. I guess it is the same male audio plug for the the DX6i socket? So same plug on both ends? I will check it out tonight.
EDIT:
Picked up a double ended male mono pre-made lead at JayCar for $4.
Fits perfect...
