I'm looking anyone who runs rc boats in Perth, w.a?
Nitro, gas or FE doesnt matter. At the moment i'm running a supervee 27 BL and I usually float around the Ranford housing estate area where theres some nice ponds or the swan river around the shelly bridge. It would be good to see a few boats out together one day!
Hey bro, very sorry I can't hook up for a splash session with you - I'm in Melbourne. However I have recently picked up the same boat in good nick used with a mod prop. I am going to give it a jolly god seal up and anti rust before I run it as well as install a Nomadio transceiver and better servo so I can monitor voltage from my Tx. I have my tennis balls ready to rig up to my fishing rod for retrieval anyway (that is going to look so funny!)
Anyway I'd welcome any tips for running this boat as it's my first water based R/C.
Cheers in advance and good luck finding someone to splash (my boat alternative to bash) with!
hey grim, I work out on the north rankin/goodwyn platforms, from the chopper I can see a sick jet boat racing course at one end of the runway. not the anchovey flats end the ocean end it looks SICK for boats!
also the blue metal quarry looks to have a good lake in the bottom of it
erm i just noticed pilbara not karratha lol where bouts you located up there? ive worked all about up that way!
Hey
I run a brushless mini bat as well as my neighbour. Im now building a brushless shovel and have several nitro boats and am keen to run.
I live in melville and only run in fresh water if ya keen mate.
I normally run at a lake in Burrendah Drive South Lake next to Fitzys Tavern. The only problem is sometimes i have a drink in the beer garden first and then cannot be bothered getting the boat out. I believe that others are down there on a Tuesday afternoon but have not been able to confirm due to the weather.
Dave
Hey Dave, I live just off the freeway down in Baldivis, but my old lady owns the Atlantis fish and chip shop at that South lakes shopping centre there.
Might have to bring my sv27 up there one tuesday if the weather is good!
hey guys, I must admit the cold weather has put me off lately. Also my sv27 got attacked by a swimming dog i'll have to check out that pond in south lakes and am keen to go for a splash some time

The other issue i have is the boat in its likeness is a copyrighted paint scheme and is therefor covered by copyright laws i own the rights to the paint scheme as i was the one who painted it and for that matter the boat as it was not paid
so i would ask that the pictures be taken of the website

yes i did buy the boat off this fool ian i did give him some cash cant remember how much was a long time ago now
first thing i found wrong was engine was rusty in the bore wasnt to bad thought i can live with it
i then put the boat in the water for a test run and it started to sink
bloody thing was full of cracks and holes
this is after he tells me its a great boat
thats why he never got any more cash out of me
for the facts here pete just admit you didnt do the right thing i offered to fix any issues you had but in your wisdom you didnt take the offer and dont come up with new issues on the boat like the motor being rusty it was a brand new motor never started
your a lying ***** and it may get me kicked of here but you were never man enough to come to me and ask me to fix the problems you said you had
A friend and myself often take our electric rc boats out at Shelly beach, or other places SOR in Perth. it would be nice to have a few others to go boating with. Let me know if you are interested in joining us.
