I also got Omarko, another member here to go, and he had an absolute ball. Peter, you should take your st1 out there next meet, its an open club practice day, and have a run around, im sure you will enjoy it as much as Omarko did.

Hey Stoogey

yeah met up with Omarko out there.

Yeah i will definately be taking it out next time.

Unfortunately i would have loved to take it out this sunday for practice day but i am busy so probably wont be able to get out there.

how long is the track open this sunday for practice? i might be able to get there in the afternoon.

i would love to have a few experienced guys there to help me tune it.

Usually, the race organiser opens up the track on practice days from around 9.30 till about 2 in the arvo, but it varies. Wait till a couple days before and i will get a confirmation for you.

If you miss the practice day, then dont worry, the week after will be a normal club race day again so you wont miss out on any action :), i might be able to go and help you guys out if onroad racing isnt on that day.

If anyones interested in what the track looks like in action, heres a video that my mate recorded.

Gives you a good view of the track being ripped up by some experience drivers, it was only a heat though, so they weren't going all out.

Just some info on the drivers stand also -

The roof was damaged in a storm but will be fixed before the titles, AARCMCC regulations state that a stand must be able to hold 10 - 15 people with 0.8m space for each of them. Our stand holds 15 people with a whole metres space for them each, its very well built. I was told the stand is up about 3.8M or something around that, I'll try to get a proper figure.

Yeah my best guess would be its about 4 meters no higher.. im talking about the bit you actully stand on not the railing etc

Its well and truly high enough.. totaly awsome

Lets hope they do fix the bloody roof as it is a joke and has been for some time now.. i remember hearing all this stuff about fixing it up before the proline challenge event and that was now months ago.. but it never happend

Its hard to understand considering the fees involved to race/ be a member why the guys cant put a peice of tin over the thing for protection from the sun.. if they dont do something soon i reckon ill do it myself! :bang:

Its a great track and a top day of racing/ fun but i do hope they sort out a few simple things soon

Yeah there are some things to consider though, like insurance if someone gets hurt or something, plus attendance of members to help do the jobs but yeh a roof on that thing is essential, I'm sick of feeling my arms sizzle away in the sun :P

It is an awesome track out at liverpool and the stand is great but yes it is in desperate need of a roof.

Glad to hear it is going to be fixed up.
