new beginner heli
hey guys, thinking about getting a heli very soon, from what i have read the blade 400 seems to be best, specially on rchobbies.com, any idea how much longer it will stay at that price?
are there any other good heli's to begin with?
will the dx6i hook straight into a pc for a simulator?
cheers guys

If anything , the price might reduce a bit !!
Read the other threads on the blade , good servos def help it become fun
And yep , the radio , same as JR, works with all the sims , Phoenix is recommended ..... Most sims use a " dongle " lead , supplied with the Sim ...

If you get " Phoenix" sim , from here , (pick your state ) , http://www.brooknet.net.au/retail_outlets.htm
it comes with the lead to suit your radio .
phoenix is highly recommended , the cheapest of the "good " sims , and its support/updates are second to none..
There are cheaper sims out there , but why bother??? generally rubbish ..

I'm getting addicted to my little indoor Heli and want to get a beginner heli for outdoor.
I was thinking Blade 400 but I keep reading about changing the servos. Which servos need changing and what is the recommended servos to change to?

What most do is change the 3 ccpm servos to Hitec HS65MG's , then use the 3 origonal servos as spares for the tail..
The std gyro seems to be OK , a Futaba 401 with a good tail servo is better , but not essential ..
Generally need to change the NORMAL throttle curve too , easy as !!

Mate,
have a look at the Trex 450, its a mid range heli, so you wont need to upgrade down the track. parts are cheap, and there are quite a few Trex copies on ebay.

Mate, before deciding on which heli to buy, go down to your local hobby shop and see what parts they stock. also go to your local heli club and see what people there fly.
check out archeli.com too for heaps of information.
