Holy grail of onboard camera?

Hey all,

Just going through youtube again and stumbled upon this...

I WANT... lol.

http://hobbywireless.com/cart/
Having a look on there, it's not really that expensive.

One day... one day...

EDIT:
I have one of these coming this week... http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/x52pro.htm
If only there was a way to use that with that camera system... match made in heaven. (we need a drool emoticon).

Yea few of these new FPV sets for RC stuff have come out in the last few months. Problem is, most are running on 2.4ghz, which means you can't use your 2.4ghz radios with em for fear of interference

I'd be SWEET to fly around with one of those on a plane tho

There is 1.2 ghz system available on that website aswell, dunno what exactly the downsides would be but I would imagine the video would have a bit more lag than the 2.4.

It would be awesome to have a setup like this on a plane (or even a baja).

I was watching a couple of other videos last earlier aswell, and one person has manged to set his up that it has a 3km range and 2 hours of flight.
Bloody brilliant.

Another had his van decked out with a couple of comfy seats and a 37" lcd.

This takes RC to a whole new level.
Did you notice the camera was paning or was it me?

Must have me one of them.

It sure does take it to a whole new level.

I am pretty sure it was this video (there are others on youtube like it) that the setup in question was a wireless camera fed back to a receiver on the ground which had video goggles connected to it which had something similar to "Track IR" which tracks your movement of your head and is transmitted back to the model/plane and moves the servos.
So if you want to look left, you move your head left, want to look down and the the right, move your head down and to the right, wanna look up, move your head up... I think you get the point... haha.

Saying it would be awesome is an understatement, it's probably the closest you can get to actually being in or feeling like you are flying.
