STOLEN PLZ read

Hey guys.

Just went out to my car to find some stuff laying beside it. Went through it and realised all me RC stuff was gone.

Went camping on the weekend n some BASTARD has flogged it all outta the car after we got back home.

Happened sometime monday night. Heard the dog bark but thought nothing of it. Spewing now.

Gone is:
HPI Savage 4.6. Should be pretty unique as i painted the shell myself in a darker green sort of metallic paint. Had 3 speed but otherwise pretty stock. Did have spektrum telemetry receiver in it though.

Traxxis Jato.
Pretty stock. They didnt take the shell though. Had a brand new TRX3.3 motor in it. Literrally had 6 tanks through it to run in. Standard AM controller was with it and taken.

Corally C4.1
Had spektrum receiver also. Novak 10.5t motor GTB ESC with a nascar body.

Cant remember name but 1 nitro boat .21 motor. White hull with blue and red stripes. Had futaba radio and controller. Red plastic see through prop on it.

ANd last of all pretty much brand new spekrum dx3s controller.

Cops are finger printing the car tomorrow hopefully so made room in the shed to lock it outta rain etc.

So if anyone sees or hears of these anywhere i would appreciate it GREATLY.

No questions asked if they are returned either. the savage has a great deal of sentimental value to me so yeah.

Please any news contact me here or 0431 615 563

I will offer quite a decent reward for return of these items.

Cheers
Matt

Would be a good idea to post some pics if you have any.

Also where about did it happen, what location?

Hey Matt - sorry to hear mate, to bad you were at the receiving end of this scum act.

Please post up location they were taken from, and pics if you have any of the RC's. Another idea for you is to head around to your local hobby shops/rc tracks/other hobby related areas and leave them with some information and pics on your RC's and let them know what has happened.

And of course keep an eye out on the forums to see any newbies with gear you may recognize.

Hope you end up getting the stuff back mate.

sunbury!? in vic? ouch... not a good location for having things pinched...

to be honest though, i really don't think you'll get your rc gear back at all as most of the people that'll take things like this will keep it for themselves and won't flog them off at clubs or online etc. i've had my house broken into and had a lot of rc stuff and static models stolen also, none of which was recovered, and that is even after notifying all the clubs & collector groups & the like and all of them monitoring for over 3 months. i hate to tell u this but you'd be better off just count ur losses and work on getting as much as possible out of your insurance claim and buy another car(s)

very likely chance would be either some1 seen u play with ur cars around the street/yard or seen u load/unload the car with ur gear and want to own them instead...

it may be worth noting though that a small shop that does a bit of chinese rc (like cloned bajas, hsps etc.) had their shop broken into twice in the 1 week around a month ago at box hill. none of them stolen items are recovered as such... lucky he can just claim it on insurance as he has comp insurance on the shop and all stock. he lost a clone baja, a couple of hsp trucks and a couple of cars but all the expensive stuff was untouched. so pretty obvious it's just opportunists who have no ideas about rc wanting toys, and i hope whoever broke into ur car falls in this category.

contact your local pawn shops, and second hand dealers, once they are aware of the gear stolen, they will keep their eyes open, if it ends up in their shop and spotted by the owner or the Police, they loose it, so it is in their best interest to be on the look out.

go for a drive/walk around the main areas you drive them at and around your house. see if anyone has a car very much like the ones stolen.

Probably wont make you feel any better, but a few years back I was moving my work gear to a new storage facility, some light fingered little cretin decided he needed my gear more than I did, and releived me of 20 boxes of CD's, 1000 cd's in total

Long story short, this drivelling little cretin was selling some of them off at a local market that my cousin used to attend, and he spotted the thief selling cd's, one that he picked up still had my name on the back sleeve, so he bought it, then called me and his work buddies (he is a cop), the coppers nabbed the guy, but most of my cd's were gone.

when it went to court, he got jailed and ordered to pay restitution based on an average cd being $30 (most were imports) $30 000. I have not seen dollar one, the insurance company paid out the massive sum of $1500 (50 cd's maximum)

Moral of the story, check the fine print of your insurance policy, secondly, Always Lock Everything!!!, and finally, get a huge ass dog that likes the taste of criminal ass!!!!

ahh damn.

Yeah been speaking to insurance n looks like they will cover it but we'll wait n see if money comes first. But yeah car is booked in for an alarm now so hopefully that will help next time.

And yep my dog was going nuts but she does that to most ppl that walk past so i ignored it. Now i will be running out with a bat n check cars lol.

Lesson learned hey. REALLY love to catch the creeps but might get meself into trouble if i do.

Not if it goes to cash converters, when the my house got burgled a few months ago,the cops told me its a waste of time going to cash converters as they will not help at all and if they think something is hot they will send it interstate, they by law have to keep serial numbers but the police told me it takes up to a year for CC's to record some numbers,i don't understand why filthy hock shops cant be done for receiving stolen goods like the rest of us can.
Good luck getting ya gear back buddy, and may the thieving scum OD and die

yeah I havent got any hope for cash converters but i have let them know.

Have let quite a few ppl know around this area so will see what happens with that. some have contacts that could help so we'll see.

I wouldnt of thought there would be scum like this left in sunbury. Its got to expensive for a lot of them n they have moved out futher.

Ah well **** happens. Time to start looking for other cars now. Still got 1 boat and a tmaxx that was locked in shed. so they might do for a lil while.

Cheers
Matt

Sorry to hear what happened to you......that is really horrible to think that there is scum out there doing this to people.

To think that all the work and pride that you would have put into your cars and someone just takes it all away.

What a shame.

Hope it all works out for you.

That sucks

If they took your RC stuff and left things like expensive tools (which would probably be really difficult to track) and laptop (which would probably be easy to flog on eBay or the like) then it sounds like kids to me or someone with equal common sense.

Not sure on the area as I'm not in VIC, but maybe they would just bash it around their street or yard etc. But if its just kids it could mean they live pretty close to your house etc, so worth keeping an eye out, if they had common sense they would probably be trying to "lay low" for a few weeks though.

Wish you luck in recovering the goods / getting some justice.
