total combined voltage is 7.4v, I grabbed the specs from their web-site for you

    Specifications:

    ROAR Approved
    Battery Type:
    Lithium Polymer (LiPO)
    Configuration: 2s2p
    Weight:
    9.17 oz.
    Dimensions:
    23 x 46.2 x 69mm
    Charge Rate:
    3C (12.6A)
    Continuous Discharge:
    30C (126A)
    Min Discharge Volts Per Pack:
    6V
    Max Burst Rate:
    60C (252A)
    Max Volts Per Cell:
    4.2V
    Max Volts Per Pack:
    8.4V
    Watt Hours: 31.08

So as I understand it, the seperate packs are equal to 1 cell and when connected up via the leads in series you end up with 2cell 7.4v 4200mah, just to be safe, run a multimeter on the packs and check the voltage, they should read between 3.7v and 4.2v each pack, and when connected between 7.4 and 8.4v combined.

where are the 2 battery gurus when you need them?,

Paging Dr cdis.....Paging Dr Big Block,...... got a technical problem for you

2s2p = 2 cells in series, with 2 cells in parallel internally per saddle pack

Yeh when i tested both saddled the voltage read around 7.4v
So like you said i've only 4200mah combind.....dam i thought i had 8400mah....this is why i'm getting short run times.

    Thanks Pete

Under normal conditions, most Lipo batteries can be charged at a maximum of 1C, but these are capable of being charged at 3C

    to get "C" value

divide the mah rating by 1000 = "C"
    4200mah / 1000 = 4.2 amps
so you could charge at 4.2 amps for a 1C battery
your battery can be charged at 3C= 12.6amps

most chargers are not capable of charging at this rate,
at 1C your battery will take approx 1 hour to charge, at 3C it will take about 20 minutes

    I just purchased the Intellect 2300 reciever lipo 2S2P battery. Footprint of only 56 x 32 x 32mm.

Going to sit it on the front axle of an AX10 with the 3racing servo/battery mount. Will let you know how that goes.

Doing behind the axle steering at the same time, but found postage outragous for the link so gonna make one myself.

Harris RC and Feral batteries are both Aussie online shops that sell lipos.
Intellect and Harris RC own brand, 5000mah 30c and 40c batteries about $90-$95.

Aside from that, Hobbyscene is the online market place for hobbycity in Australia.

Turnigy just released a 5800mah 25c lipo for about $27.
