i know some of you guys are tired, but i think the sooner we get out there and repair the track, while its still a bit wet the the less work we will have to do in the long run....so when the next working bee.....???

Have a read of this.
Guys. I have been on the phone to a couple a companies about a product we use in the Mine for dust suppresion http://www.dustbloc.info/. I am thinkin not only will it stop the dust it will help hold the track surface together (cause if it stops dust, it must hold the surface together
).
We can purchase it from Pioneer road services in Windsor for about $2.50 per litre. I was told we would need an initial first coat of 60:1 or 80:1 then lighter applications to suit the tracks needs.
Only trouble is, its a bitumen based product so i think using it over an extended period of time (which you are supposed to do), it will "build up" and we may end up having on on-road track with berms instead of a dirt track with berms!
Have a read of some of these links that i have picked out from thier website and give me your thoughts on it. I reckon its worth a try. Even if we decide to stop using it after a few applications, the dustbloc that has been laid down and built up, should wear off the track with or normal usage.

I have just got back on the forum after leaving the above posted up over night. I am dumb-founded that there has not been a single reply on your thoughts about the above mentioned post

Dingo is broken again apparently.
I'd check with the club though - it may have been fixed this week.
Cheers,
Steve

I have keys for the dingo and the shed the John Hill issued me, I'm unsure of the state of the dingo.
The origin weekend it was out of hydraulic fluid as the left hand ram is leaking badly and one of the feed lines from the pump is split, spraying fluid on to
the exhaust.
In reference to your statement of levelling out the air field pile, who promised what and to who?

Justin,
Mate as per our conversation today I have spoken with John Hill from the SSME and the Dingo is out of action unfortunately.
They are looking at getting it fixed as soon as, probably quicker now that I inquired about it ... lol
Also I have spoken to John Lee - Coollamon and his mate has 70 sqm of carpet for us and he will store it until he has all 300 sqm then we can get a tandem trailer and collect the whole lot.
The carpet is the least of our worries at the moment buy the look of the lakes we have in our berms from your photos today..
I wont be able to make it this weekend for any work on the track but hopefully next weekend I can and if we are lucky the dingo may be repaired by then..
Cheers

Here we go again. Ill engrave my name on that berm and call me the BERM MONSTER from now on.
I went around the track as quick as i knew how to and that was to use the berms. Last time i looked, there was no "please dont use the berm and destroy it" written on that corner. We were having a race...and who ever cross the line first wins?
Sorry about your hard work fellas by me reshaping the 2nd berm. I wish i didnt have the problem with my car so i could have helped with the prep of the track before the origin thats why i offer my help now that my car is fixed.
I help with the track at Redhead in between meets at Luddenham and Redhead.
Just let me know when you guys do some track work so i can help now that i dont have to drive the century van.Last edited by stephoon; 06-11-2009 at 06:41 PM.
